Pack&Store Summer Storage is a service that helps college students store their dorm belongings during the summer break when they are not living on campus. We provide a packing supply kit, pick up your packed order from your Spring dorm, store everything safely for the summer, and deliver it back to your Fall dorm when you return for the semester. One flat fee covers everything — no trips, no hauling, no stress.
Pack&Store works best for students with confirmed Fall housing, since your guaranteed drop-off date is the Saturday after dorms open (last year Howard University date was 8.16.26). If you find out over the Summer that you will not be living on campus, you must arrange pickup of your items directly with our moving partner. You will charged a $225 Off-Campus Delivery Fee, and must complete the Off-Campus Delivery Request form. Arrangements will be made directly through our moving partner and day/time will be based on moving partner availability. Please consider this before booking with Pack&Store.

Yes. Pack&Store charges one flat fee that covers everything — your packing supply kit, order pickup from your Spring dorm, summer storage for the entire season, and delivery back to your Fall dorm when Howard opens. There are no hidden fees, no monthly storage charges, and no surprise costs at delivery.
Prices start at $325 for the Essentials package. All prices are all-in after DC sales tax and payment processing fees.

Can't be there on pickup day? You have two options:
Option 1 — Designate a Proxy Authorize someone you trust — a roommate or friend who will already be on campus — to bring your items to the curb on your behalf. Your proxy must be present at curbside at your scheduled pickup time with a valid photo ID. You can designate your proxy after purchasing your package here.
Option 2 — Room-to-Curb Service ($75) A Pack&Store team member will collect your fully packed and labeled items from your room and have them curbside on time.

How to add Room-to-Curb Service:
Pack&Store accepts all major credit and debit cards through Stripe's secure checkout. You can also split your payment into 4 interest-free installments using Klarna or Afterpay — just select your preferred option at checkout. No fees, no interest. We do not accept cash, checks, or direct bank transfers.
No. For insurance and inventory purposes, all items must be packed using the supplies provided in your Pack&Store supply kit. Pack&Store is only liable for orders packed with provided supplies. Items packed in personal boxes, bags, or materials will not be accepted at pickup.
If you need additional supplies beyond what your kit includes, purchase add-on bags, boxes, or items in advance using the form Add-Ons.
Use the packing supplies provided in your Pack&Store supply kit and follow the Packing Instructions on our website. Every bag, box, and individual item must be packed, labeled with your name, and have a QR code label affixed before pickup.
At least 12 hours before your scheduled pickup, submit a confirmation photo of every item using this form: Submit Confirmation Photos a $190 Inconvenience/Rescheduling Fee will apply.
No problem — you can purchase add-on bags, boxes, or individual items at any time before your pickup date Add-Ons.
Add-ons must be purchased in advance.
Any items brought to pickup that have not been pre-purchased will need to be paid for on-site before our team can accept them. Additional items must still have a QR code label and name label affixed and a confirmation photo submitted before pickup.
If your order is not packed, labeled, and curbside at the agreed pickup time, a $190 Inconvenience/Rescheduling Fee will be charged.

To avoid this fee, complete your packing the night before, submit your confirmation photos at Submit Confirmation Photos at least 12 hours in advance, and keep your phone on and with you during your entire pickup window.
Your items will be stored at a secure, climate-controlled commercial storage facility in the DC area. After your items are delivered and secured, you will receive an email with the exact facility address.

Pack&Store uses ToteScan QR code labels to track every item in storage.
Each label is linked to your order so your items can be located, verified, and returned to you accurately at fall delivery.
All items will be housed in secure, climate-controlled storage units. These units typically include basic insurance coverage provided by the storage facility. This coverage often includes protection against incidents such as fire, theft, and water damage — up to a limited dollar amount (which varies by facility). You will receive specific information about the facility where your items are stored.
⚠️ Important: While this basic insurance provides some peace of mind, it may not fully cover the value of your belongings. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you DO NOT store any valuables. However, if you must, consider purchasing additional insurance for enhanced protection.

Before purchasing, we encourage you to review your homeowners or renters insurance policy, as some providers include off-premise coverage that may apply to your stored items.
Your guaranteed fall delivery date is the Saturday after Fall dorms open for the Fall semester (last year for Howard University it was 8.16.25). This is the only guaranteed delivery date — plan your travel and move-in arrangements around this date. Additional delivery dates may be added based on demand, but no additional dates are guaranteed.
You will receive an email from Pack&Store with your delivery details once Howard publishes the official move-in schedule. At that time you will be asked to submit a short delivery form confirming your Fall dorm and preferred delivery window.
Currently, Pack&Store will return to your campus the week Fall dorms open for the Fall semester. If you need your order in advance of that date, you will be charged a $255 Early Retrieval Fee and must arrange pick-up directly with our moving partner.
To initiate an Early Drop-Off complete the Early Retrieval Request.
If you forget to pick up your items or miss your scheduled Order Drop-Off, we will keep them in storage for a limited period. If you need to reschedule your Order Drop-Off, you will be charged a $225 Unscheduled Retrieval Fee and must make arrangements directly with our moving partner, as stated in the Pack&Store Terms & Conditions. All Pack&Store sales are final.

No. Pack&Store delivers to official campus housing. If your fall housing plans change or you need your items delivered to an off-campus location, you can arrange this directly with our moving partner. An additional $225 Unscheduled Delivery/Off-Campus Delivery Fee applies, coordinated and paid directly through the moving partner. Contact us for questions or concerns.
